The Wave – Vertigo

The Wave is an 80m long immersive exhibit made of 40 doors that are sensitive to movement.

The digital world meets the physical world.

The Wave is an 80m long immersive exhibit made of 40 doors that are sensitive to movement. Nothing’s a coincidence when Vertigo gives control of The Wave to the spectators. Visitors walk through and around the installation and influence its auditory and visual content.

The Wave was originally created to be exhibited on Ofelia Plads (Copenhagen, Denmark) for the Frost Festival in 2017.

Founded in 2011, VERTIGO is an artists’ collective based in Copenhagen. The collective’s diverse work involves installations and stage scenery where the digital world meets the physical world.  The exploration of new technologies is also a key element for Vertigo. Their installations aim to create physical-digital experiences which challenge the human being’s visual and auditory senses.
